There's now a minimum of at least one small business says a Samoan Small Business owner

People often used say that ya need at least one degree and at least one job, but that view is changing, and a Samoan Small Business owner is saying that "Samoan Americans need at least ONE small business, one should be the minimum, maybe someday two will be the minimum". One Small Business venture he says should happen right out of, or during College, and before that, there should be some serious Small Business learning projects during High School years. There's reports these days from elder community, not just Samoan community, wishing they had gone on their own and had the courage to setup their own Small Business when they were young enough, and had the chance. The Samoan Small Business owner said "The Big Business landscape is changing rapidly these days in our area, ya never know who's taking what, and when, and from where. Always rely on yourself when it comes to the lives of your family. Also you never know, your Small business could go hand in hand with another career, feeding your business venture."  

Samoan American Artist discussed ideas about American Samoa

A Samoan American Artist [Outside Link: Ione K. Birdman] has been discussing with community friends, options that might work for American Samoa because of it's unique characteristics. The brain storming involved issues with Energy, Architecture, and Internet and Phone Access in the islands. One discussion proposed a central "Wifi connection" for the entire island [76 square miles] giving free public access to the Internet anywhere around the island, which also taps free phone apps used in Ipod technology. Other discussions were on turning an entire Samoan Bay into an Auquaculture farming pool, and how might Samoa use the "natural design" of high water pressure sea based Blowholes, to create a natural source of clean energy. The Alofaaga Blowholes are a natural feature in Western Samoa. 

Man apologizes to an online News site in New Zealand

A man who wishes to remain anonymous apologized on commenting that The New Zealand Herald news site was a place for "Homeless Nazis". He apologized but said that just last year in 2012, all he read from the news site were things that made other cultures look weak, bad, overly aggressive, sulking, sorry, desperate, poor, or struggling with life, while also trying to promote a selective class of New Zealander. The man said that he also called it "The Homeless Nazi Herald", written by homeless, bitter, and by people who's culture is gone. He then said the apology came up because after all, it's just more irresponsible media and no one really reads the junk anyway.

Cancer is a real issue and something people just can't put a finger on. In the islands, Cancer just doesn't have the scare that it does outside Heaven's Triangle [The Polynesian Triangle]. Here's how it works though in the real world, "The Fleas come with the Dog" for people who want to live in the modern industrialized city fast world. It's hard enough to make things work without some money hungry bumpkin saying they want to "CURE" Cancer with your donations. Cancer Donation Schemes vary with at the same time making legitimate Cancer organizations seem faulty. The fact is that the fight against Cancer is best played in looking for better greener technology.   

Polynesian community report on Banking Overdraft Schemes

Community reports warn against leaching Banking Overdraft Schemes. No one knows actually "Why" a bank would try something so desperate against it's public customers, except that perhaps small accounts with under a few thousand dollars are just not good enough to keep Bank CEO's fat. The scheme works on resquencing transactions, which means the bank posts transactions in the order that benefits fees, possibly costing a single low account customer hundreds of dollars in overdraft. There's plenty of news online of law suits against Bank of America, Chase, and in 2012 on First National Bank.  

Polynesian community watch Education Schemes 2013

There is a lot of talk going around of "For-Profit Education". Community reports say many people are buying a degree thinking it's an instant paper-ticket to success, yet unable to get a job, while also unable to actually apply their "memorization learning education". It's reported that America is not the only place this has started to flourish at, and that it's worse in other nations where a single degree means nothing.

New Zealand has fleas in Benneydale and cleans up living conditions

A small town in New Zealand has been written about in the Spacifikmag.com site, of hard working Samoan families addressing poor conditions in Benneydale New Zealand, which was taken notice by the local Hospital. The community there which descended from mainly from Western Samoa, manages operations for the company Crusader Meats, and are first generation Aotearoa - New Zealanders. The indigenous region there though seems to have a flea infestation, which the Samoan community is removing. 

Samoa tops NZ's unwanted list more like Asians

According to a published statistic, and article by The New Zealand Herald, it states "Samoans, India and China" are the most deported recently, but then again, it also separates Asian nationalities. Top nationalities deported: Samoa - 80, India - 64, China - 56, Fiji - 51, Tonga - 46, Malaysia - 36, Thailand - 27, Britain - 26, Sri Lanka - 16, Indonesia - 15. Looking at it another way, India, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Malaysia are all in "Asia". Asians in NZ have been an issue before, yet some how Samoa is now the front.
